Konrád of Vechta (died 1431), archbishop of Prague, a favourite of King Wenceslas IV who practised alchemy and magic, died here. He was probably buried in the former castle chapel. Treasures are said to be hidden in the castle, guarded by a black raven or perhaps the devil himself. They supposedly reveal themselves through a bluish glow, and the way to them opens only on Palm Sunday.
