The town contains remains of a Renaissance château built on an older Gothic manor site. A powerful nobleman supposedly lived there during the Hussite period. After his death, his body was placed in a golden coffin inside a silver one, along with many golden objects. Servants buried him near Domčice, below the brickworks beside the Rosavka stream. Courtiers who knew the grave’s location were supposedly beheaded to prevent anyone finding him and the treasure. The coffin allegedly bears the inscription: “I give all this to whoever frees me from the golden coffin.” No one has yet tried.
