The Memorial Stone on Principálek

Northeast of the village rises the conical hill of Principálek (523 m). On its summit stands a basalt boulder about four metres high, offering a fine view of the Krkonoše Mountains. People say an execution site once stood here. An innocent condemned man asked to impress his face into the stone as proof of his innocence. It really took his likeness, and he was freed. Another version explains this human-shaped feature by saying Krakonoš himself appeared before the execution and gave the stone the poor man’s face.
