Nearby Býčí skála in the Josefské údolí valley was once dedicated to the pagan sun god Svantovít, and immense treasures are said to be hidden inside it. Once, a magnificent and numerous procession came from afar and disappeared into the cave at night. Weeping and wailing rose from the depths; light blazed there and a procession of skeletons appeared. In the previous century, a Bronze Age statuette of a little bull was found here, giving the rock its name, and many skeletons of prehistoric people were excavated.
