Býčí skála is among the Moravian Karst's most impressive archaeological sites. In the nineteenth century Jindřich Wankel uncovered an extraordinary Hallstatt-period find containing human and animal remains. Its dramatic nature later inspired legends of a sacrificial site and the cave's peculiar, oppressive atmosphere.
