On a castle hill near Zlaté Hory lie the remains of a once-strong border fortress. According to legend, man-eating giants built it as a base for raids on victims in the surrounding regions. For years they terrorised the countryside, then suddenly vanished to an unknown destination. Underground passages supposedly also ran here. Through one, an army was treacherously led in to capture the castle and expel the robber knight Ota of Linava, who raided the surrounding area from it.
