Děvín - Hrad · STORY FROM THE ATLAS

The Wild Boar with a Golden Key

Once every hundred years, the ghost of an enchanted knight appears here as a wild boar carrying a golden key in its tusks. Long ago he ruled the castle and tormented many people to death; they cursed him. After death he wandered the forest, pursued by the shadow of one of his victims. He rarely manages to be alone. Only at that moment can he seek release. Whoever helped him would gain entry to the castle’s underground chambers and all their hidden treasures.
