Černovice · STORY FROM THE ATLAS

The Blaník of Southern Bohemia

As with Blaník, people say that St Wenceslas’s army sleeps in Svidník hill (740 m), north of Černovice, awaiting Bohemia’s darkest hour. It will then leave the mountain by silver steps and defeat the enemies. In the woods lies a large stone marked by a hoofprint, covering the entrance underground. People say that each person can see this boulder only once in their lifetime.
