Ghostly white horses could sometimes be seen grazing among the castle ruins, occasionally with knights dressed in white. Towards dawn they ran towards Krnov and disappeared into the mist. The herd usually appeared on moonlit nights and in times when wars ravaged the region, or shortly afterwards. It was believed to bring misfortune and plague.
