A White Lady’s ghost appeared at the castle. Here too, people once observed the custom of serving porridge to the poor. When the lords stopped distributing it, the White Lady caused an uproar every night at eleven until the custom was restored. On the southern side of the second courtyard stands a stone table where the porridge was handed out before 15 August each year until 1784. That year, the estate bought its release from the duty by endowing a foundation with land below the railway station, still called Na medové kaši, At the Honey Porridge. An estate official who once lived in a house in the second courtyard had a proud wife. One day she went to church in shoes made of dough. According to legend, the earth opened and swallowed her. She has supposedly haunted the place ever since, and her ghost is sometimes identified with the White Lady.
