According to legend, a prince once hunted here, and his companions found a miraculous ring inside a raven they had killed. Later a stranger arrived, claimed ownership of the ring and begged the prince to return it, saying its secret power worked only in his hands. To prove his words, he first used the stone in the ring to kill a flock of ravens, then magically built a castle and gave it to the prince. As a raven had brought about the castle’s creation, it was named Raven Stone, Rabenstein in German.
