Where the roundabout now stands at the end of Plzeňská Street once stood house no. 55/1, popularly called Na hrádku. It was an old seat of Příbram’s nobility. Secret passages supposedly lie beneath it, one leading under the pond called Dolejší obora. Many ghost stories were told about the house. Among its apparitions was the first provost of Svatá Hora, V. A. Jan Ungar of Rab, who later died in a Prague asylum. Unfortunately, the house was demolished in the 1950s.
