Southwest of Potštejn, beside the road to Brandýs nad Orlicí, a Baroque church dedicated to the Virgin Mary stands on the conical Homole Hill. A long stone staircase leads to this site, once visited by numerous pilgrimages from the surrounding area. Teresie Eleonora of Ugarte commissioned the church and stairs in 1692–1696. The work was arduous and performed by labourers under feudal obligation, so it is no wonder that peasants cursed the countess. Her ghost supposedly haunts the place, and on moonlit nights the Devil drives her down these stone stairs.
