In the pilgrimage Church of St Anne in Podhradní Lhota, an altar has a glass-covered space above the tabernacle displaying wooden figures of Jesus, the Virgin Mary and St Anne, with a knight kneeling before them. He has long been considered a Templar. Legend says that the nearby Šaumburk Castle, rising above Podhradní Lhota, belonged to the Knights Templar. After 1312 they were attacked and slaughtered here. Only one escaped, fleeing to St Anne’s Church, beside which he lived as a hermit until his death. Pilgrimages to the church were held four times a year. Nearby, at the foot of Klinec Hill (667 m), lies St Anne’s Spring, once visited by processions. (See Kunovice.)
