Petřkovice · STORY FROM THE ATLAS

The Devil’s Bridge

East of Petřkovice rises wooded Petřkovická hora (608 m), its slope strewn with boulders. They allegedly remain from a bridge the devil was to build overnight. A local girl assigned him the task when he came courting. He failed to finish before a rooster crowed at dawn, and the bridge collapsed. Its remains are still here.
