Ghosts in Hell

At the confluence of the Metuje and Olšenka, six kilometres from Náchod, lies the picturesque valley called Peklo, “Hell”. Many ghosts allegedly appeared: a headless horse, will-o’-the-wisps and especially a large fiery barrel. It rolled uphill by itself, burst and released a fiery rooster with a wild clamour. Local people long avoided Peklo.
