At no. 41 on Dunajská Street, the ghost of a wicked servant from the former Red Ox Hotel, once at the end of Růžová Street, is said to appear. The servant supposedly robbed and killed a wealthy spice merchant at the hotel and then fled. Many years later he returned to the town as a rich man and bought the house on Dunajská Street. His conscience tormented him, however, and he eventually hanged himself in his home. Ever since, on moonlit nights before Christmas, he is said to clatter about the staircase in heavy wooden clogs. Sometimes he also appears as a black dog.
