In a valley near Mohelnice is a place called V čertovinách. Legend explains it through a struggle fought here for an entire year between a local cobbler and the devil. Their wrestling rolled out the valley later called Čertoviny. The devil had refused to pay the cobbler for shoes he had supplied.
