Below the château lies a stone said to be a petrified woman holding a child. According to legend, she was a poor girl loved by the young heir to the château. His father made him marry another, wealthy woman. On the wedding night the girl came to the château to throw herself from the rock with the child of their love. But pity for the innocent child and grief for her betrayed love overwhelmed her so deeply that her sorrow and tears turned her into rock.
