Near the village of Křivice rises Křivina, a hill and wooded ridge named after its curved shape. Local tradition says that witches from the wider Rychnov area gathered here on Walpurgis Night and on the feast of St John the Baptist. People pointed out tall, slender pines with bent tops on which witches and demons liked to swing.
