South of the village rises the wooded hill of Sedlo (902 m), with the remains of an ancient hillfort. Local inhabitants saw the finds made here as traces of the giants who, according to legend, once lived in Šumava. They first dwelt at Obří hrad on Rockenberg, south of Červená, and later here as well. Their gatherings were also said to take place here.
