Stone knights and a White Lady haunt this place because of a mysterious curse that afflicts every owner of the castle. The White Lady was the last female descendant of the cursed line of knights, who turned into groaning stone after death. This always happened at midnight, recalling the murder of a poor hermit committed here by the cruel lord of the castle.
