Kašperk holds a treasure hidden here from enemies by the inhabitants of Velhartice, who were later all killed. On All Saints' Day an armed man's ghost supposedly appeared to a girl with an intellectual disability and showed it to her, inviting her to take as much as she could carry. A great black dog with fiery eyes prevented her. When worship ended in St Anne's chapel the treasure sank into the ground. Only many years later, it is said, will a virtuous girl be able to retrieve it at the same hour.
