A legend tells of the castle's defenders who shut themselves underground. Eventually they could not get out, and the devil offered freedom in exchange for three souls. Three women agreed to submit to him and an exit suddenly opened. Everyone fled and was almost outside when rocks collapsed, imprisoning them underground for ever. The souls of the defenders and later unlucky treasure hunters still wander the castle and haunt it.
