The old castle, later replaced on the same site by the Renaissance burgrave's residence, and its surroundings were haunted by the ghosts of dead nuns and a White Lady. B. Balbín reports this in his Miscellanea. He recounts the case of a servant of his mother who was given gold and silver by the White Lady.
