Třístoličník mountain (1,302 m) was an ancient, renowned gathering place for witches. A tale concerns a local farmer’s wife who at night put a bridle on her farmhand, turning him into a horse and flying him to the sabbath. Once a friend took his place and heard everything there. Restored to human form, he bridled the farmer’s wife and had her shod like a horse. She pretended to be ill for a time, but was eventually exposed and burned.
