The Petrified Wedding

On a meadow by Kužele Grove lie boulders that local people call the Petrified Wedding. According to legend, a betrayed lover enchanted the procession here. He was the son of the farm steward at Vyhnanice. Returning from military service, he found that his beloved, the daughter of Bechyně’s huntsman, was marrying another. He waited by the woods and cursed the wedding party. People also said that mournful singing and horn calls could be heard nearby at night.
