A Baroque pilgrimage church of the Virgin Mary stands here, once attracting great pilgrimages from far away, even Slovakia. People say that workers digging earth on the site of the main altar in a chapel on Frýdek’s square found a stone statue of the Virgin Mary. It was taken to the pilgrimage church at Vápenky, where it can still be seen on the altar. Nearby lies the small wood of Hájek with miraculous water and steps of penance leading to the spring.
