Below a rise beside the stream lies a large stone hollowed in the middle, as though someone had sat or lain on it. According to legend, St Procopius once used it as a seat while wandering in the forests along the Sázava. The stone therefore enjoyed special attention and affection among local people. In dry summers, a procession went to the “Čeřenec stone”; people soaked scarves in the stream and washed the stone, praying and asking for rain. Rain always came within three days of the ritual washing.
