South of Zvolen, where the Slatina meets the Hron, lie the remains of Pustý hrad. Ghosts of an old man and his daughter supposedly appear in the ruins on the anniversary of their deaths. The cruel castellan Zuzor once lived here and fell in love with an old fisherman's daughter. He wanted to marry her, but the fisherman objected. Zuzor decided to kill him, yet his arrow mortally wounded the girl. Seeing this, he fell from his horse into the Slatina and drowned. The fisherman died of grief the same day. Their ghosts return every year. Everything they touch supposedly turns white, and lilies of the valley grow where the girl's ghost walks. A settlement called Rybáře still lies below the castle, surrounded by meadows full of these flowers.
