In the western spurs of the Železné hory, in the Litošice forest, great granite boulders are piled on the summits and called the Giants' Beds. A dispute once arose between devils and giants. Neither side would yield, and they fought by throwing huge boulders at one another until complete darkness. The giants prepared more heaps of stones and slept on them. By morning the devils had vanished, leaving the giants' beds there to this day.
