Vsetín · STORY FROM THE ATLAS

The Black Bull

Northwest of Vsetín is a valley bordered by several mountain ridges. One is Velký Skalník, with a steep rock in its midst called Valova after a former owner, or Jasenická skála. A vast cellar is supposedly inside it, hiding an immense treasure. Stamping on the rock really makes it sound hollow. An enormous black bull guards the treasure. A treasure on Čup is also supposedly guarded by a black bull. Whoever ploughs a field there with a similar bull will reportedly plough it up.
