Vrabinec- Hrad · STORY FROM THE ATLAS

The Pagan Nobleman's Spirit

The castle's irregular, unattractive structure probably gave it a name referring to a sparrow's nest. Legend attributes ancient religious significance to the place. The ghost of a pagan nobleman appears with a flock of ravens. He was besieged and killed in the castle because he refused to abandon pagan customs. His apparition foretells an approaching death.
