Prague's Astronomical Clock — The Legend of Master Hanuš

A famous Prague legend says the clockmaker Hanuš was blinded so that he could build no similar clock elsewhere, and took revenge by stopping the mechanism. History differs: the clock was created in 1410 by Mikuláš of Kadaň and Jan Šindel, making the Hanuš tale a later story.
