In 1687, inquisitorial witch trials began here. In the so-called courtroom on the château's second floor sat an inquisitorial tribunal headed by the infamous F.J.Boblig of Edlštadt, or Zlaté Hory. In the end, a total of fifty-six victims were burned here. At the time Losiny Château was managed by the bigoted Angela Sybila Galle, née Žerotín. Apart from Frývaldov, now Jeseník, these were the only mass witch trials in the Czech lands.
