The ghost of the Žerotín White Lady appeared at the local château. The Austrian poet F.Grillparzer, who also stayed here, supposedly based his tragedy The Ancestress, or Die Ahnfrau, on this legend. A portrait of this guardian of the Žerotín family hangs in the so-called Grillparzer Room on the château's second floor. Other sources, however, place Grillparzer's play at Borotín Castle in southern Bohemia and associate it with the local Landštejn family. (See Borotín.)
