The Werewolf Woman

A mill once stood near the village at a place called Hyksovo peklo. Every night a she-wolf ran here, shed her skin in a storeroom and changed into a girl. Once a military veteran had himself locked inside for the night. He hid and, when he saw that the she-wolf had changed, nailed her skin to the mill wheel. Only then did he address the girl. At first she searched for her wolfskin, but when she saw that she could no longer put it on, she accepted her fate. Eventually she married the veteran.
