At night, a fiery barrel used to roll through the village from the site of the former forester's house. It supposedly vanished when it reached the road at the bottom of the hill. People said it was Karbunkulus, containing a great quantity of gold. If it caught up with someone to whom it was destined, it would stop in front of them and turn into a lump of gold. It would avoid anyone to whom it did not belong and roll on.
