Outside the castle beneath the black wall is a meadow where a White Lady supposedly sat in the shade of a wild pear tree, holding a pot of gold on her lap. At night she lured passing travellers with her singing but always vanished. A golden helmet is also said to be buried here. Even in the sale of the Svojanov estate in 1833, the seller stipulated that he should receive half its value if it happened to be found.
