North of Starý Šachov rises Kotel Hill (393 m). A White Lady supposedly appears in the Kotelná pit beside it. The female apparition was once called Bremer’s Wife, Bremerfrau. She is undoubtedly identified with Anna Polixena, wife of the former estate owner Johann von Bremer, who died in 1703 and was buried at Horní Police. (See Horní Police.)
