Račice Château acquired its present Renaissance appearance through the rebuilding of an older castle. It was once the seat of the robber knight Friduš of Linava, as the Zbraslav Chronicle relates. According to J. H. Gallaš, Račice Castle had once belonged to the Knights Templar.
