Rabí too has an alchemical legend, though its protagonist is anonymous. A German alchemist is said to have lived in the square tower with two projecting corbels during Půta Švihovský’s time, attempting to make the Philosopher’s Stone. He introduced himself to Půta by claiming to have grasped nature’s secret. After fruitless experiments, Půta had him brought to the castle and confined in this tower, where he worked. Finally, when he tried to escape, the lord had him imprisoned and later driven out of the castle.
