The Templar Commander

The village of Čakovice, now Prague 9, is mentioned as early as 1088. The Templar order had a seat here, and in 1290 Otto is recorded as commander of Uhříněves and Čakovice. A Templar commandery once stood in Uhříněves; a château was built on its site in the late sixteenth century.
