The Black Carriage with the Headless Horse

An old wooden cross once stood in Újezd before the Church of St John in the Laundry. At this spot, a black carriage with a headless horse sometimes emerges from the ground at night. The ghost of a priest climbs inside, and the eerie vehicle rattles down Všehrdova Street. When the witching hour is over, the carriage returns along Říční Street and the apparition dissolves beside the cross.
