Tunkl at the Plough

After his death, the ghost of the cruel squire Tunkl, lord of Zábřeh and Brníčko, appeared on the dam of the local pond. He was harnessed to a wooden plough, and the Devil used him to plough the dam. When he did not pull hard enough, the demon lashed him with a whip. Local farmers feared that the ghost would plough through their dam and drain the pond. A shepherd managed to banish him to the desolate Kaní Mountain.
