Polkovice · STORY FROM THE ATLAS

The Usurer’s Fingerless Ghost

At night, the ghost of a usurer whose two fingers had once been cut off as punishment appeared at Polkovice Château. The château would be lit up, and the apparition sat in one of its chambers wearing old-fashioned clothes. Later, a secret compartment reportedly yielded the two severed fingers in an undecayed state. When it was buried in Klenov cemetery, the apparition ceased.
