During the Thirty Years’ War, monks supposedly walled up three life-size golden statues of angels in the so-called Plasy House on Dominikánská Street, also known as V staré obaldě (no. 281/3). All those who knew the secret gradually died, leaving no one who knew the treasure’s actual location. In the nineteenth century, the legend inspired the opening of an inn called the Golden Angel here.
