More than two hundred years ago, cruel Matěj Kotek was the château governor at Nové Město. His evil deeds gave him no peace in the grave. Every evening after the Angelus, a fiery coach left the château with his ghost inside. Fire spurted from the horses’ mouths as they raced through the dark streets out of town to Michovy. Only after midnight did the apparition return to the château and disappear.
