A tale is told of a local dragon whose skin was kept in the château. A local doctor allegedly raised it from a “snake maiden”, a lizard fed on human blood. Later the monster vanished; people heard only strange whistling in the evenings. It supposedly flew to Moravia. Eventually it returned and devoured people. A brave knight saved the prince’s daughter from it. (See Hředle.)
