Above Annín–Dlouhá Ves, on the wooded hill of Mouřenec (617 m), stands the late Romanesque church of St Maurice, popularly called Mouřenec, with an old burial ground and an ossuary. Many ghost stories are associated with this place: glowing bones, skeletons, punished disturbers of the dead and thieves in the chapel. Some speculation identifies Mouřenec as a Christianised Černoboh, a pagan demon also mentioned in local tales. Perhaps this was why the church was later rededicated to St Lawrence, yet the strength of folk tradition, together with the mysterious power of the place, preserves a dark memory of its original dedication.
